Overview: The VUKA Guide
VUKA is a practical guide designed to provide support and additional guidance to business owners participating in The Entrepreneur business accelerator programme.
What is VUKA?
VUKA is a practical guide designed to provide support and additional guidance to business owners participating in The Entrepreneur business accelerator programme.
VUKA’s hands-on approach is designed to build, test, improve and strengthen your business through additional reflection and real application.
With the additional guidance from VUKA, you will move from:
- understanding yourself as the builder of the business,
- to defining a clear direction for your business,
- to understanding, developing and testing how your business works,
- to adjustments that will strengthen its operations, and
- ultimately presenting a clear and credible business.
VUKA is built on a simple principle:
You don’t learn entrepreneurship by studying it.
You learn it by building, testing, and improving a real business.
How VUKA works
VUKA is designed around learning through action.
In every session, you move through a practical cycle:
This is not about getting the “right answer.”
It is about building a stronger business through better decisions over time.
You are encouraged to continuously ask:
- How does this apply to my business right now?
- What decision do I need to make?
- What must I test, improve, or strengthen next?
At the Centre is VUKA Build
VUKA Build is the central integration tool of the guide.
Each session produces practical outputs that help you build:
- your Business Model Canvas,
- your Business Plan, and
- ultimately a stronger, more credible business.
This is where your work comes together.
The Business Model Canvas and Business Plan are not academic documents.
They are practical tools used to:
- test your assumptions,
- organise your thinking,
- strengthen your business model, and
- communicate your business clearly.
You are not writing a business plan at the end of the guide – you are building it step by step throughout the VUKA journey.

Mentorship in The Entrepreneur Programme
Mentorship is a key part of The Entrepreneur Programme and the VUKA experience.
A mentor is not there to give you answers.
They are there to:
- challenge your thinking,
- identify blind spots, and
- help you make better decisions.
The value of mentorship depends on how you use it.
- Come prepared.
- Ask clear questions.
- Use every conversation to move your business forward.
The more you engage, the more value you will gain.
Academic Recognition
The Entrepreneur Programme and VUKA’s emphasis is the building of real, workable businesses.
Throughout the programme:
- you will test ideas,
- make decisions,
- and improve your business step by step.
The Business Model Canvas and your Business Plan are simply ways to:
- organise your thinking,
- test your understanding,
- and communicate your business clearly.
The different editions of the programme are academically accredited by institutions of higher learning. The academic assessment is primarily based on the Business Model Canvas and the Business Plan.
For academic recognition, you will need to meet the assessment requirements.
The goal however remains to build a stronger business.
